In recent years, the heat density of mechanical products has been increased for the reason of downsizing and high performance. Boiling cooling has been taken notice, which has capacity to transport a large amount of heat. It is known that fine cracks and depressions on the heat transfer surface become bubble nuclei. Metal 3D printers currently being studied at various institutions are immature technologies. However, it is clear that the modeling surface becomes a smooth surface or irregular surface depending on the lamination condition. Therefore, this research is positioned as a first step of using a metal 3D printer for boiling cooling research. In addition, the pool boiling experiment was conducted by changing the scanning pitch of the modeling conditions. As a result, the scanning pitch affects the cross-sectional shape and the internal structure of the boiling plate, and the boiling phenomenon can be promoted by the lamination condition.
