We have been conducting research on improving the robustness and applicability of an inverse problem design method based on Takanashi’s integral-differential formulation. The inverse problem design method is an efficient method. We have started research for practical application of this method and further efficiency of aircraft design. As a way to improve efficiency, we devised a method for designing the aircraft wing more efficiently. In this report, taking NASA-CRM as an example, an approach to improving the efficiency of wing design is described.
