With this method, we can predict a vibration of a thermally bent rotor quantitatively. In this method, we simply use a couple of bending momentum as an excitation force produced by thermal bending. The amplitude of the bending momentum can be calculated as a bending momentum which causes the thermal bending shape as an elastic deformation. We compared the calculated vibration with the measured vibration of a heater-mounted rotor. The behavior of the calculated vibration agrees well with the behavior of the measured one. The calculation error of the vibration amplitude in resonance is about 12% at the loop of the vibration mode on a critical speed.
