Abstract
This paper deals with effects of Magnetic Fuel Improvement Device which is expected that the combustion characteristic may be improved by activated fuel and the exhaust emission may be purified by improved combustion. The fundamental idea is based on that the fuel ingredient flowing in magnetic field must get electrical energy according to "Fleming's right hand low, " and the electro energy must activate the fuel ingredient by extinction of Van der Waals combination or cluster split. The effects were investigated with a diesel engine using light-oil according to JARI D-13 mode test. As a result of the test, we could not find clear evidence to prove improvement of combustion or purity of exhaust emission.
