Abstract
This paper proposes a new type of impulse actuator which uses permanent magnet. It is intended to produce exact impulsive force. In this paper two types of actuators are selected and analyzed : one is permanent magnet with driving coil, and another is voice coil type actuator. First, their principles how to produce the impulsive force are introduced. Then they are analyzed using FEM. The calculated results are compared and the PM with driving coil is selected for development.
