The Spray of DME is not a liquid spray but a gas spray. Therefore, it is difficult to mix with air in the case of the jet speed is low. In this stady, the effect of split injection on the engine performances is examined with numerical and exparimental expperiment. As a reslt, the rate of heat rellease is set to 2:1, the inidicated thermal efficiency shows the maximum value. And this phenomena is confirmed by the that of experiment. Furthermore, the THC with split injection from acutual engine is reduced as compaered with that of one stage injection.
