Abstract
Active magnetic bearing(AMB)requires multiple displacement sensors. Installation of these sensors causes several problems;high sensor cost, installing space and non-collocation of the actuators and the sensors. To overcome these problems, self-sensing technique has been proposed. In this paper, PWM duty ratio compensation method is proposed. It is considered to suppress fluctuation of the displacement estimation characteristics and to allow realization of a reliable self-sensing AMB.
