Abstract
Cold forging is an important process to produce the parts of mechanical structure. However it needs many complicate steps and dies to complete the finishing shape of the parts. Therefore the cold forging process must be studied by metallographic point of view. In the present study, observation of the microstructure of products in each step is conducted. SEM (scanning electron microscope), Vickers hardness tester and XRD (X-ray Diffraction) are used for estimation of microstructure. The result shows that refinement of grain by combination of cold forging and annealing process is observed, work hardening is also seen in the cold forging specimen.
