The significant noise from fan motors is caused by pressure fluctuation and structural vibration. Recently, low noise fan motors have been requested. To supply the low noise fan motor, it is important to investigate the vibration and noise characteristics of fan motor. In this paper, the vibration and noise characteristics of fan motor and the mechanism are clarified experimentally.
