Abstract
Although FRP is commonly used in chemical plants, there is still few effective evaluating method of the degradation of it. Ultrasonic test is the one of most common non-destructive inspection method for them, however, it is limited to find mechanical defects such as cracks or delamination, but still there are several problems for detection of chemical degradation. Novel nondestructive inspection method for an inspection of chemical degradation that is "corrosion" of organic material was studied. Chemical luminescence of degradation reaction, hyper-spectrum camera showing color tone change, and surface analysis by infrared spectroscopy with hand held type FT-IR were used and evaluated.
