Gas stove and oil stove has become a major cause of residential fires. Therefore, it is now legally required to install safety devices. In order to examine the effectiveness of this safety device, what consider whether the cooking stove is igniting due to the cause. Cause from there separately, we examined the effectiveness of safety devices for accident prevention, and consider the limitations of functionality. As a result, there are cases must be judged and confirmed by a person even if safety devices exist. Even within this case, it became clear that accidents will not disappear. Therefore, It is an important that the user should use the safety device as per the instruction manual without overconfidence, and the manufacturer should promote the design so that misuse of the product does not cause an accident as much as possible.

In this paper, we conducted a simple experiment on a fire detection sensor and a monitoring method attached to storage tanks handling powder. Gas should be the main for early detection of fire, and monitoring should be done by detecting multiple gases in addition to the CO sensor. Taking wood pellets as an example, the control temperature for safety can be considered as 50 to 70 ° C.

Prolonged and intermittent exposure to vibration transmitted to the hand-arm system has been known to develop hand-arm vibration syndrome (HAVS). Typical symptoms of HAVS consist of peripheral nerve disease, peripheral vascular disease, and musculoskeletal disorder. Since 2009, Japan Ministry of Labor and Welfare has changed a health care method of workers occupationally exposed to hand-arm vibration to a quantitative evaluation method of vibration exposure, which uses the daily vibration exposure denoted by A(8) as an indicator of vibration dose. However the new health care method has not been widespread because of the necessity of hand-arm vibration measurement for individual workers. This paper explains the development of an individual hand-arm vibration measurement system using a new wearable vibrometer.
