The emergency operating procedure is an important part of the defense in depth of the nuclear power plant. The accuracy and timeliness of the procedure operation is directly related to the safety of the unit. Computerized nuclear power plant adopts advanced and mature symptoms-oriented emergency operating procedure system. In order to improve the reliability and convenience of the operator's implementation, and fully show the advantages of the computerized instrument control technology, it is necessary to design the task display for the symptoms-oriented emergency operating procedure. So that the operator can quickly and accurately obtain the required information. Based on the characteristics of symptoms-oriented emergency operating procedure, this paper analyzes the task list and task information from the emergency operating procedure system and content through the task analysis method. Based on this, the task displays design methodology for procedure is formed according to the regulatory requirements and design specifications. The emergency operating procedure task display designed according to this method has a high compatibility with the procedures, which helps to improve the execution efficiency of the procedure operation and improve the safety of the unit.
