Nuclear power plant containment is the last barrier to prevent the leak of the radioactive material after accident and it is extremely important for ACP100 for the Passive Containment Air Cooling System of ACP100 which provides Ultimate heat sink for the nuclear station is a powerful guarantee of the Containment integrity. The major research program of this paper is the heat transfer on the external surface of the containment vessel — The radiation heat transfer and the natural convection heat transfer. The paper utilize business software GAMBIT to build the geomtric model of the containment vessel which is meshed by using unstructured meshes and the heat transfer is analyzed by numrical simulation in this paper. The installation of the containment penetration and the affect on the efficiency of heat transfer imposed by the number of the air corridors is analysed in the numrical simulation. The analyzation which provides guiding effect for PAS design opimization and crucial theoretical support for the experimental design of the PAS.
