Abstract

This study discusses the method and software for analyzing non-proportional multiaxial loadings. Structural components in mechanical products, such as turbine and boiler, are subjected to non-proportional multiaxial loading. Non-proportional multiaxial loading refers to loading in which the direction of principal stresses or strains change with time. Itoh, Sakane et al. proposed the Itoh-Sakane method (IS method) to formulate the lifetime reduction. Morishita, Ogawa et al. have also developed a software program based on the IS method that enables even users with no expertise to easily perform the lifetime evaluation. This paper describes the IS method and the usage of the software which could not be explained in the previous papers. Specifically, it describes the operations that the user can perform, showing actual screens. It also describes the contents of the diagrams shown by the software. The results of drawing the circular loading, one of non-proportional multiaxial loadings, using the software are shown.
