Abstract
Perfluoropolyether(PFPE) lubricants are coated on the surface of hard disks or touch screens in order to reduce adsorptions of various contaminations. In this study, the durability of PFPE lubricants with different chemical structures, which have a endgroup at single side of Demnum mainchain(DDOH),two endgroups at both sides of the mainchain(D-4OH),and two endgroups at both sides of Fomblin mainchain(Fomblin Z-tetraol),were evaluated by the reciprocating friction tester.Friction force of Z-tetraol and DDOH showed lower than that of D-4OH and the lubricant depletion of DDOH after test showed smaller than that of other lubricants. Therefore,DDOH showed best durability performance in these lubricants. It is estimated the flexibility of lubricant molecules affects to the durabolity.
