The superficial skin tissue makes up of complicated layers and micro-structures,associated with water content,which should determine micro mechanical properties resulting in viscoelastic behaviors.Recently,OCT has been being developed as a cross-sectional imaging tool with 1 to 10 micrometer resolution.Authors have developed Dynamic OCSA,which can provide time- and space-dependent distribution of tissue deformation by means of direct cross-correlation technique.In this study,the proposed method was applied to skin phantom "BioSkin",in order to confirm the detection of internal viscoelastic information.As a result,Dynamic OCSA can identify statistical significance of viscoelastic properties,i.e.creep recovery time.It is,therefore,concluded that Dynamic OCSA could employ as a "Micro Mechanical Skin Biopsy".
