Unsteady cavitating flows around a rectangular cylinder were numerically simulated by finite difference method. In this study, we constructed the basic equations out of the low-mach-number approximation and the cavitation model. And the numerical method is the fractional step method similar to the imcompressive flow. As a result, the effects of cavitation number on the drag coefficient as well as drag and lift fluctuations were qualitatively reproduced in comparison with experiment.
