We investigated the reverse transition of highly accelerated turbulent flow by means of the direct numerical simulation. The characteristic properties and its variation of the velocity profile qualitatively coincide with the tendency of the results obtained by the previous experimental studies. The turbulence intensities are reduced drastically because of the termination of the energy production in the accelerated section. After that, the gradient of the flow profile close to the wall, due to the acceleration of the mean velocity, becomes so large that streaks resume the growing, though the streamwise vorticity remain feeble.
