Abstract
The gayser boiling in a vertical water column was experimentally investigated. Changing heater length, water level, vertical position of thermometer and input heat, the vertical temperature distribution in the water column and the intervals of gayser boiling were measured. As a result, it was found that the time-averaged temperature distribution under water during gayser boiling has a local maximum at the lower part of heating section and that the intervals of successive gayser boiling on some conditions especially show periodicity.
