Abstract
The intelligent fluid with particles which causes inverse natural convection is developed and studied. The intelligent particle consists of SMA spring and plastic cylinder. It shrinks at high temperature and be inflated at low temperature. When these intelligent particles are located in the fluid heated from upper surface or in the fluid with temperature stratification, they circulate and induce flow circulation from higher temperature region to lower temperature region, and result in the increase of heat transfer. Experimental confirmation on the effect of heat transfer for upper surface heated system was carried out.
