The fluid motion and heat transfer in multiple pipe bends are simulated. The heat and mass transfer is enhanced in helically coiled pipes by the secondary flow and its effect is expected to be more pronounced in multiple pipe bends. The influence of Dean number, Prandtl number, bend angle, and switching angle is investigated. The heat transfer is more enhanced in multiple pipe bends with larger bend angle for smaller Prandtl number while it is better with smaller bend angle for larger Prandtl number. The heat transfer is also better for larger bend switching angle for a larger Prandtl number.
