Abstract

The assignment of “Innovative Combustion Technology” in Strategic Innovation Promotion Program (SIP) started up October 2014 consists of approximately total number of 80 universities and the Research Association of Automotive Internal Combustion Engine (AICE) from 9 automotive companies and 2 research institutes. The targets of this assignment are the maximum brake thermal efficiency 50% and the sustainable research framework with the industry-university coordination in Japan. In this lecture, suggestions and directions from Innovative Combustion Technology by SIP are described.
