In this study, an analytical solution of cylindrical coordinate system has been derived for flame kernel development in a turbulent flow by introducing assumptions. The solution results and characteristics are compared with that obtained by the analytical solution of spherical coordinate system in our earlier study. Furthermore, by implementing in the ignition model, the minimum ignition energy (MIE) for the premixed gas is predicted in the new ignition model. As a result, the tendency of MIE equivalent ratio dependence and the tendency of MIE increase due to turbulence are reproduced.
