Abstract
In order to develop a machine tool for micro machine elements, its kinetic accuracy have to be evaluated quantitatively. From such a viewpoint, the accuracy of the miniature lathe previously developed is measured and evaluated. In this study, the rotational accuracy of spindle and the linearity of tool post are evaluated. As the results of these evaluations, it is clarified that the accuracy of the miniature lathe is enough to machine workpieces in order of 1 micron.
