Abstract
A reduction system of seismic response for small structure that was installed inside buildings was developed using friction bearings. In this paper, effects of bearing combination on reduction were investigated by vibration test. The best combination of bearing is case 2 that was used two marble plates and two steel balls with rubber pad, and the maximum response amplitude decreases 80% compared to input wave. On the other hand, in case 1 that was used four steel balls, it amplified because of resonance between input wave and isolated plate.
