Abstract
To evaluate liquid phase heat transfer, temperature field of the liquid phase around an isolated boiling bubble was measured using Mach-Zehnder type interferometer. As a result, macroscopic thermal flow field in boiling was observed. However, in the vicinity to the liquid-vapor interface, expected thermal boundary layer indicates evaporative heat transfer was not measured, and the lack of the spatial resolution of the used interferometer was shown. Thus the measurement system was improved to obtain temperature information of thin thermal boundary layer and spatial resolution was improved to 2.75μm/Pix. Finally, a temperature field around the bubble was captured using renewed measurement system, and the measurement of the evaporative heat transfer near the interface was successfully achieved.
