Abstract

Recent years, 3D printing technology on plastics and metal materials is growing rapidly. The products laminated using stereolithography(SLA) process is put to practical using as 3D prototypes models. The products made with SLA type 3D printers are considered structures with different strength depending on the build direction. Moreover, it is considered that time can be shortened by cutting process in improvement of prototype. In this study, drilling of laminated sheet using SLA process are examined. The resin plate laminated by SLA process has anisotropy by solidification occurring during lamination. Machining time becomes shorter just before processing end because the chipping occurring in the layer to layer direction create drilled holes.
