Abstract
Dynamic stresses of link depend upon the forces acting on the link and the shape of the link in the link mechanism. The forces acting on the link are the inertia forces, the inertia torque and the gravitational force. The distributions of the inertia loads acting on the link depend upon the position and the shape of link. Therefore, it is important for the dynamic design of the link mechanism to design the shape of links. For reducing the load of the mechanism, the distribution model of the inertia loads are investigated and the design method to give the uniform strength links in a planar four-bar link mechanism is presented in this paper.
