Abstract
Planetary gear system has the strong point at their compact size comparing with high load capability. But it is more complicated comparing with parallel shaft gear systems. When manufactured gear machinery's vibration level is high against the estimated level at design stage, vibration diagnosis without reassembling because vibration characteristics changes easily with assembly error. In this study, we made a planetary gear apparatus that planetary pinion's vibration can be measured. Vibrational behavior of the apparatus is measured and its characteristics is discussed comparing with parallel shaft gear system's vibrational behavior.
