Abstract
In this study, the shape repeatability of cable-network structures was examined. Cables used for cable networks have nonlinearities between the tensile load and elongation. Therefore, the shapes of cable-network structures have some uncertainty, which leads to worse shape repeatability. In order to clarify the influence of such nonlinearities on a large cable-network structure, a Monte Carlo simulation was carried out. In the simulation, the mechanical properties of the cables modeled by the modeling procedure developed in our previous study were employed. The shape repeatability was investigated and the tendency was quantified through the simulation.
