This paper gives an account of an education project supported by the aircraft industry, and planned by Nagoya City Science Museum. The aim of the project was twofold: firstly to help technical high school students to understand the aircraft industry in the Chubu region in Japan, and secondly to help them to get jobs in this industry, which is currently growing, in contrast to the automobile industry. The project contains two programs. One is an internship. 17 students of Nagoya City Technical High School and Aichi Prefecture Technical High School visited a professional college and 3 companies for a total of 11 days. The other was is a course on airplane manufacture, guided by a pilot, to understand aircraft production, supported by 2 institutes of technology and 2 companies. This involved a special airplane design based on the work of Chuhachi Ninomiya, a Japanese airplane inventor in the Meiji era. The project resulted in 2 students getting permanent jobs in the companies.
