Abstract
The single-loop reliability-based multiobjective optimization(RBMO) algorithm proposed by the authors is applied to engineering design example.The proposed method consists of the hybrid multiobjective particle swarm optimization(MOPSO) and the single-loop reliability-based optimization using single-loop-single-vector method(SLSV).The hybrid MOPSO handles the constrained multiobjective optimization.In the algorithm,the violated particle will move to feasible region using gradients of the constraint conditions.The methodis extended to the RBMO problem adopting the concept of SLSV method,where the reliability constraints are converted to the deterministic constraints by proper approximation.The single-loop RBMO approach is applied to structural design problems to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed method.
