The purpose of this study is to understand the icing phenomenon on the fan blades in freezing fog, and to develop the anti-icing technology. The icing is affected by contact angle and surface roughness. High contact angle and low surface roughness had high effect for anti-icing. The ice shedding time was measured on each blade with different surface roughness. As the results, the effect of surface roughness was clarified, and it was found that low surface roughness had high effect for anti-icing.
