The water treatment (WT) enhanced the Charpy impact values of Nylon6 [CFRTP(CF/PA6)] and epoxy resin [CFRP(CF/EP)], although WT generally softened the matrix polymers. When absorbed water molecules enlarges the inter polymer distance and relaxed the impact energy, the softening and enhancement of impact value of CFRTP(CF/PA6) and CFRP(CF/EP) can be explained.
