Abstract
The heart disease and stroke in Japanese three major causes of death are cardiovascular disease, and there is a treatment catheter to treat them. However, the success will depend on the experience and technology of the caster. In addition, in recent years, necessity and importance of micro-robot has been improved in the fields of medical care by the development of micro devices, the introduction of nanotechnology, and so on. The authors have developed an m-pipe traveling micro-robot as active catheter which move by expansion and contraction of the balloon pressure. In this report we focuses to the blad flow. Because the impact for blood flow is greater in the process of moving, we improve the process of expansion and contraction in active catheter and experiments of behavior of active catheter. As a result, we obtained the moving speed of 2.03mm / s under a flow rate of 40cm / s.
