Electric vehicles are known to significantly reduce CO_2 emissions through a combined system using renewable energy, such as solar power. In order to spread the electric vehicles into wide use, extending the cruising distance is one of the important problems. In addition, the electricity consumption of air conditioners which amount to 30% of the whole electricity of electric vehicles is necessary to be cut off by the new technology. In this study, an air conditioner in the electric vehicles has run by a small engine and the efficiency has increased through the use of exhaust heat from the engine. As a result, we found that our system could solve the all problems such as the cruising distance and vehicles cost. On the energy utilization, we found the possibility that our small engine system had more efficient to use the primary energy than the conventional system which is charged by the electric system.
