Abstract
The purpose of this study is to develop a Haptic display. The human perceive Haptic sensation by physical quantities of pressure, vibration, warmth, coldness and pain. In this study, the Haptic presentation method is defined by the Haptic cognitive process evaluation. This evaluation results show that "Haptic-map" of the Haptic presentation method, and this is constructed the three dimensions at the pressure axis (N/m^2), the temperature axis (℃) and the vibration axis (Hz). A Haptic display was developed based on this method. This device was constructed of the pressure sensor, of the peltier device and of the speaker. This device was carried out the performance test. These stimulus physical quantities were defined as the pressure axis: 15-45 N/m^2, as the temperature axis: 20 - 40 ℃ and as the vibration axis: 100 - 260 Hz. That is, the Haptic display was developed in this study, and this device is able to present Haptic sensation.
