Abstract
Mechanism that maintains head of HDD and does rotation movement at position on disk is called Head Stack Assembly. The swing support part is composed of the unit that two bearings combine with the sleeve. The surface damage that fretting occurs due to swing movement in the bearing. Rolling elements slip revolution phenomenon observed occasionally in the swing movement at some of the bearing, was that fretting damage does not occur in such cases. It is considered that using the revolution slip of the rolling elements, extending the life of the bearing against fretting is possible for this purpose. The study of previous years, had been investigated revolution factors of rolling elements and relations of fretting and the revolution of the rolling elements, but the conditions were of all inner ring swing movement at the time. Therefore in this study, to manufacture a new device that gives the outer ring swing motion in the bearing, and to pursue the cause of the revolution behavior of rolling elements of the outer ring swinging.
