Carbon fiber is one of the candidates to make friction surface without coating. It is assumed that carbon fiber is consisted by carbon atoms, therefore, it is able to make sustainable fiiction surface without lubrication. However, the tribological property of carbon fiber is not so clear. In the case of carbon fiber edge slid, the wear amount was so much which can not be a candidate to high wear proof material, because of cutting wear had been taking place. From the view point of prevent cutting wear, we hypothesized carbon fiber side would be a candidate. To clarify the tribological property of carbon fiber brush, we conducted friction test between carbon fiber and aluminum alloy with different normal load. The carbon fiber was bind by jig and hexagon head bolt, and then it can contact its side. The carbon fiber brash showed almost same static friction coefficient jis and kinetic friction coefficient μ_k,μ_s/μ_k was around 1.0 to 1.6. The specific wear rate of carbon fiber was around 10^<-4> mm^3/Nm that was larger than aluminum alloy.
