Abstract
Recently, Biomass gas which has a renewable energy is remarked to prevent problems of earth environment and energy resources. In the presentation, atoms and elements are activated to support the combustion by Atmospheric Pressure Low Temperature Plasma. When methane is used for fuel, the blow-off limit velocity of flame is elevated and the stability of the flame is improved by plasma assisted combustion. Moreover, the stability is improved for combustion diluted with nitrogen. On the other hand, it is found that the stability of hydrogen combustion is not affected by plasma. This reason is thought that there is CH radical (methane's activate species) in the region of the chemical reaction of methane combustion or nothing in the hydrogen flame. Furthermore, it is found that NOx in the methane flame falls with plasma.
