Abstract
Micro explosion experiments are carried out because it's important on the side of elucidation of phenomena and the side of atomization of fuel in engine. That discussion needs to be done with small droplet because injector's sauter's mean diameter becoming smaller and smaller. For example 50μm for gasoline engine. We established to create 30μm diametersingle droplet and inject into diffusive gas flame. By taking picture using CCD camera and strobe, we observed micro explosion of ethanol. We injected droplets in three different velocity and in every conditions, droplets break up to some droplets. It occurred when a droplet diameter become smaller than 10 μm. In lower initial velocity, this phenomena is occurred later and be seen in longer time. It is said that this phenomena is happen not by the time the droplet exposed to ambient air which is high temperature, but by quantity of heat the droplet gets.
