According to IRB competition rule of 2012, it was consented that we used a GPS sensor in the actual game of the rugby football. In Japan, motion analysis using a GPS sensor seem to be measured in Tsukuba University and Japan's national team. The measurement using the GPS sensor can get discrete positional information. When we calculate velocity and acceleration from discrete position data, errors increase for the differential calculus operation of the data including the electrical noise. By the way, when we want to measure contact fitness ability in rugby, it is important that we measure acceleration exactly, and using an inertial sensor is effective. When wearable inertial sensors are added to a rugby player playing a game, the part which a player can fit is limited to the middle of both shoulder blades and the abdominal region and both soles. This report builds a measurement theory for the purpose of applying an inverse dynamics theory on a limitation condition specialized in rugby football. Specifically, the following theories were built. The rigid body link model to be comprised of upper and lower of the human trunk, both thighs, both calves and both soles. The theory using the theorem of cosines to estimate acceleration about the link of both thighs and both calves. Finally the estimated result was compared with the literature data of the walk model.
