Abstract
In recent production environment, shortening of product lifecycle forces reduction of period of product development. One of significant problems is development of products which match customer requirements. If characteristics of products based on customer requirements are investigated, acceptable products could be developed from the characteristics. In this study, we develop a conceptual system of product design from parts and parts structures characterized by reviews on internet. Customer requirements and preference related to products are extracted from these reviews. Then, characteristics of parts and parts structures are related to the requirements and the preference in the conceptual system. Information system is developed to realize the conceptual system. In addition, new product design of electrical tooth blush is performed as a case study.
