A dielectric elastomer actuator (DEA) is expected to be a new actuation device for many purposes because it can generate large strain with simple configuration. This actuator has a very simple structure that a dielectric elastomer film is sandwiched by elastic electrodes. We have been investigating a new application of this device to transport particles. A particle conveyer was vibrated by four ring-shaped DEAs that the electrodes were painted in an angle of 180 degree. It was demonstrated that particles on the conveyer was transported by the vibration of the conveyer, and transport speed of approximately 30 mm/s was realized by adjusting the applied voltage and frequency.
