Abstract
Microbubbles are very small bubbles with a diameter of 50 μm or less and have properties different from those of ordinary-size bubbles from the chemical and physical viewpoints. The utilization of microbubbles is useful in improving water environments. The purpose of this study is to purify the pool of neighborhood kindergarten or nursery school by means of ozone microbubbles produced by our original microbubble generator (slit type microbubble generator). This study was carried out as a part of the extracurricular activities of the high schools in collaborating with a university teacher. The results of the water purification experiments were affected by the bubble diameter and the electrical property of the gas-water interface.
