Abstract
This is an overview of our opinion of the orthopedic diagnostic process. The diagnostic process is similar to an investigation conducted by police. The examples include spot inspection (taking a medical history), making a list of all the suspects (make a list of all the suspects of disease), gathering evidence (laboratory examinations and radiology) of a criminal (diagnosis), placing a suspect under surveillance (follow up), recognizing uncertain reliability of evidence (uncertain reliability of medical examination), understanding social change (change the burden of disease), increasing uptake of evidence (increasing medical fee), consulting specialist (consulting specialist), requiring generalist (requiring generalist or family physician), increasing incident (increasing patients), and foreign enemy (infection from foreign country).
