A cleaning device equipped with a special nozzle containing triangular cavities is developed to add high intensity turbulence to the impinging jet flow. In order to clarify the removal mechanism of fine particles adhered to a wall and to improve removal performance of the device, local variation of removal moment is estimated for various types of nozzle by numerical simulation. The numerical results show that the removal moment reaches maximum at the location downstream than a stagnation point by a slit width. In this study, the nozzle shape with the shortest slit length and one step cavity is determined to be the best for the removal since it enhances removal moment caused by velocity and pressure fluctuations strongly.
