These days, in the conveyance system of a thin steel plate production line, there is a problem that the quality of the plate surface deteriorates because the plate is always in contact with rollers. Accordingly, studies of electromagnetic levitation technology have been performed. However, when a flexible thin steel plate is targeted for levitation, levitation control becomes difficult because the thin plate undergoes increased flexure. To solve this problem, our research group has proposed to levitate an extremely thin steel plate that has been bent in the allowance range such that the plastic deformation of the thin plate did not occur by positively utilizing the flexibility of the extremely thin steel plate that has been an obstacle of levitation. In this study, the mechanism of vibration generated in the steel plate was examined experimentally by using a partially reinforced steel plate.
