Cooling loss reduction techniques in internal combustion engine have been developed by the strong turbulence lean combustion and low-temperature combustion technology. In this situation, development of the newly heat transfer model that can be predicted the cooling loss has been important simultaneously. In order to achieve the purpose, measurement method of simultaneous temperature (or heat flux) becomes very important in order to verify an analysis model in such a situation. In this paper, high durability heat flux sensor using thin-film sensor technology was developed and applied in actual internal combustion engine using hydrogen fuel. As the result, the sensor was confirmed to have a sufficient durability even in the combustion to reach the hydrogen jet.
