The importance of passive vibration isolator is increasingly growing owing to improvement of recent machine and equipment. Previously, the authors proposed a nonlinear passive isolator for vertical direction based on a post-buckled L-shaped beam. Then, we detected undesirable characteristic, that is, the second resonance peak was excited by the vertical base input. It is important for isolation to suppress the second resonance, because the isolation range of the previous model is in the frequency range over the second natural frequency. In this report, we investigate the countermeasure against the second natural modes to avoid the undesirable resonance. Concretely, we newly propose isolation model, which is obtained by changing the direction of vertical beam to suppress the rotational motion of an isolation object, and investigate numerically and experimentally.
